RADEK JAROŠ – (more information)
1998 – reached as the second Czech the summit of the highest mountain – Mt. Everest (8,848 m) without supplemental O2.
2001 – member of expedition at K2, which due to bad weather ended in 8,000 m
2002 – reached as the second Czech the summit of Kanchenjunga (8,598 m), the third highest mountain in the world
2003 – reached as the second Czech the summit of Broad Peak 8,049 m, at K2 climbed up to 7,300 m
2004 – reached the summit of Cho Oya (8,201 m)
2004 – reached the summit of Shisha Pangma (8,046 m) – in alpine style
2005 – reached the summit of Nanga Parbat (8,,126 m), at K2 climbed up to 7,300 m
2006 – Dhaulaghiri, climbed up to 8,000 m
2008 – reached the summit of Dhaulagiri (8 167 m)
2008 – reached the summit of Makalu (8 462 m)
2009 – reached the summit of Manaslu (8 163 m)
Radek Jaroš climbed to the top of eight “eight-thousanders” (peaks over 8,000 m above lea level). He was awarded twice by a title “The ascent of a year”. He reached many rock and glacial summits in four continents. He is an author of books Dobývání nebe (The conquer of sky) and Hory shora (Mountains from the top), and of the exhibition Himalaya 1000 to 8 848 m. He also made documents from expeditions (in co-operation with the Czech TV). He was the leader of expedition to Cho Oya, where he reached the summit together with the world champion in cross-country skiing Martin Koukal. This year, he will be a leader of Altaj – Cimmrman Expedition team, which target is to name so far nameless mountain after the greatest Czech Jara Cimmrman. Radek is a partner of building company and a professional climber.
