30.9 it stopped snowing yesterday afternoon. tomorrow at 4 am Pavel and me take off for acclimatin. We would like to sleep at 5500m and than go as hight as possiblle, may be reach the 6500m.

20 cm of snow in BC sinece morning and keeps falling!!! The Australans came back from the wall yesterday saying there is up to 2m of snow. I hoped for acclimation, but it doesnt seem real this month. And we begin to fear about our stuff up there-we would not be able to climb without it, if we want to go other way. damn!

Today I was woken by not lying on the matress, and I realised it was beacause the whole tent was full of snow! One tent is dead. It is supposed to snow till Sunday, it rains at the moment.Alena didnt want to be any specific about the weather, now I see why… Rock point rocks. BC is the only dry place. 9pm: it is getting worse and worse. I dont know if the tents will manage till morning..wet snow all the time, trought day we are ablle to clean it, but how can we possiblly sleep? It is not life or death situation, but…

We took our stuff up to 5100M, and fixet it with stones- it took us five hours, three hours without wather. WE originally wanted to sleep there, but weather sucks and it is not getting better til Sunday. Acllimation is not happening. When Johny and I saw the wall, we chose another way up.

The weather didnt allow us leave BC 4400M. It is raining and snowing up there, so probably last year situation without single cloud is not going to repeat. I must compliment Jirka Sajdl from MOD Elektronik for great job, all solar stuff are working well. We spend our time laying, reading and improving ours cooking skills. God bless Rock Points tent-it is standing, eventhough some of its patrs belong to different model…

Today acclimation, 5000m, I saw the mountain and it is heavy. There is lot of snow up there. We will take some stuff up and check the place from another mountain, it should take about two days.

19th September
So we have the BC, Tomas kastner is the lucky boy this time-he cut his finger. That much for disaster, everyone else is totally all right. There si acclimation tomorow above the BC. After that we need to take our things up and check the mountain. The weather is great. Now is the tame for making calls, sending and accepting sms- the phone is working nice.

17th September – sms
The first group with luggage set off on 17th September from Joshimath to the BC. We got where we are by a a bus-it took us two days from Dilli. The rest of us will get there by jeep and by old good walking-we are about to set off tomorow morning. So hopefully on 19th Septeber in the BC.
