On April 29th, 2009 Radek Jaroš climbed on the top of the eighth highest mountain in the world – Manaslu 8163. 29. It was the first time he had gone for an expedition alone. It was also the first time he had been reliant only on his own energy, consideration and abilities. The original plan was supposed to be completely different. It was supposed to be an expedition of six Czech mountaineers. Finally everything ended another way.

The movie is Radek´s enunciation about a long journey to the summit of Manaslu, during which he had to overcome many obstacles. One of the greatest tests he had to undergo, was the inflammation of his tooth. As he said himself, it was one of the longest and most intensive pain he has ever experienced. He was thinking about the return many times during the expedition. Maybe that is also why he is recalling the unhappy events, which ended his expedition on K2 in 2007. Read the rest of this entry »

The PF card from the firm Hi-tec hits my spring climbing plans. Dhaulagiri 8 167 m. On fall 06 I was about 200m from its top. It makes few mitutes here, but being alone on 8000m makes it eternity. The missing steps dont let me sleep, so i am coming to get them! Read the rest of this entry »

I is qiute many years I climb. It was just wandering with my daddy first. Even back then i tried to take some photos. I had old Flexaret. Than I got a bit more professional so I am doing my best to get the pictures I see there into a pthotos. For parents, friends, for projecting on the meetings with others climbers…The sience goes foreward, the prices luckyly down. I shoot photos, I doo movies. 30.9 it stopped snowing yesterday afternoon. tomorrow at 4 am Pavel and me take off for acclimatin. We would like to sleep at 5500m and than go as hight as possiblle, may be reach the 6500m.

Both me and my finger, which is fully fit now, have had enought fun so we are up to next gig of this autumn. Its expedition to India. Nanda Devi area, the goal of our four-member group.
